A small town with a mix of houses, trees, and commercial buildings, with a church in the foreground and rolling green countryside in the background.

Our Plan

A panoramic view of a small town with a church in the foreground, green fields, and buildings, with hills and mountains in the background under a partly cloudy sky.

OUr Vision

is to make Clonmel a great place to work, live and socialise — a vibrant, enterprising and welcoming town centre built on local leadership and partnership.

Children in helmets and jackets riding bicycles and kayaking by a riverside on a fall day.

OUr Mission

is to deliver projects and services that enhance Clonmel's economic, social, and cultural prospects for businesses, residents, and visitors alike.

Our Five Priorities

Five-Year Timeline

Year 1 — 2026/27

Launch the BID, appoint the CEO and team, set up the office and governance. Enhance the Christmas lights programme and deliver a Christmas festival and campaign. Begin planning St Patrick's Day celebrations. Start town branding, signage, and footfall counter installation.

Year 2 - 2027/28

Phased public amenity and placemaking improvements. Spring and summer event series. Launch the cultural programme and night-time economy pilots. Begin tourism mapping and trail promotion. Roll out business supports with the Local Enterprise Office and Chamber.

Year 3 - 2028/29

Year 5 - 2030/31

Expand destination marketing and town identity. Mid-term performance review and stakeholder survey. Host a major summer festival or tourism event. Extend wayfinding and a creative shopfront scheme. Evaluate and scale the night-time pilots.

Year 4 - 2029/30

Deepen community and volunteer engagement. Major tourism and arts programming. Extend late-night trading and safety initiatives. Commission a town perception study and marketing impact analysis.

Deliver legacy projects (permanent signage, landmark events). Publish a full impact report and the BID 2031 Vision. Consult widely ahead of the renewal vote.
